How much does a drone mission cost?

You can calculate an estimate for our pricing for field mapping for agriculture in the section below, and you can easily customize your request and request a custom quote by clicking the “Request a Drone Mission” button on our website.

What types of drones do you use?

Alabama Sky Services maintains a fleet of DJI drones. Depending on the specifics of the mission, we may fly a DJI Phantom 4 Pro, DJI Inspire 2, DJI Matrice 210, or a DJI M600 Pro. The cameras on each drone capture at least 20 megapixel photos and 4K video. We even have infrared and zoom-capable drone cameras for use with special applications.

How many acres can you capture in a drone mission?

We can capture up to 1000 acres of field / land / property in a drone mission. We can fly 150 acres every 30 minutes. Our drone pilots carry multiple batteries with them at all times to ensure they have enough power to map, photograph and capture all fields that need to be captured.

What do I receive?

At minimum, you will receive access to an HD orthomosaic map of your field(s), an NDVI (crop/field health) orthomosaic map of your field(s), and aerial photographs of your field(s). In some instances such as for insurance claim documentation we will take ultra-HD 4K aerial video of your fields as well. You receive access to all media and files and they are available for you to view and download 24/7/365.

What happens if there is bad weather on the scheduled date of the flight?

If there is bad/inclement weather on the date of the drone mission we will contact you to reschedule the drone mission. Rescheduling due to bad/inclement weather is free.

Are your drone pilots experienced, insured & safe?

Yes. Every Alabama Sky Services pilot has received their FAA and FAA 107 certification to fly drones throughout the US and Canada. Alabama Sky Services has a $5 million dollar general business liability insurance policy as well as a $5 million dollar UAV/drone liability insurance policy. Each Alabama Sky Services pilot also has their own UAV/drone liability insurance policy of at least $5 million dollars whenever they operate. All Alabama Sky Services pilots have passed a background check which includes a criminal-record background check, so you can rest assured Alabama Sky Services pilots are experienced, insured & safe.

How secure is my data that is hosted by Alabama Sky Services ?

Alabama Sky Services maintains bank-level security and performs routine audits and check on our infrastructure and security. All files hosted by Alabama Sky Services are fully encrypted while in transit and while at rest. All payment information is encrypted and processed via our (PCI) Payment Card Industry Approved payment processor.

What payment methods does Alabama Sky Services accept?

Alabama Sky Services accepts all major payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Debit cards, and ACH bank transfer payments. Payments can easily & securely be made online on Alabama Sky Services .com. At our discretion, we will accept offline payment from businesses via mailed business check on net 30 payment terms.
